SpaceWx® & LANS

Space weather refers to the environmental conditions in space that can affect various technologies and systems on Earth and in space. These conditions are primarily driven by the sun's activity, including solar flares, coronal mass ejections, and other events that release high-energy particles and radiation into space.

We provide Accurate and Near Real Timely Information about Space Weather
to a wide range of stakeholders, including universities and researchers
who rely on our Space-based Technologies.

We provide forecasts of space weather conditions, including geomagnetic storms, solar radiation storms, and other events that can affect satellites, power grids, and other technologies.

Solar flares can emit intense X-rays that can damage or disrupt high-frequency radio waves, causing what is known as Radio Blackout Storms, and Solar Energetic Particles can penetrate satellite electronics and cause electrical failure.

Another space weather event is Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs), which can lead to Geomagnetic Storms at Earth, and induce additional currents in the ground that can negatively affect the operations of power grids. Geomagnetic storms can also alter the signal from radio navigation systems, including GPS and GNSS, causing reduced accuracy. Moreover, geomagnetic storms are also responsible for the stunning aurora displays seen in the polar regions.

Advancing Terrestrial and Lunar PNT through Multi-Domain Integration and Edge Technology

SpaceApp is advancing the future of Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) with its integrated approach to terrestrial and lunar environments. This strategy positions SpaceApp to serve both near-term terrestrial resilience markets and long-term lunar navigation infrastructure.

Through targeted partnerships, proven technologies, and a clear testing pathway, SpaceApp will enhance U.S. leadership in secure, reliable PNT services for national security and future space exploration.

Lunar Augmented Navigation Services (LANS)

Building on our proven All-Weather Lighthouse (AWLH) Network, which supports real-time, multi-domain situational awareness across U.S. inland waterways, SpaceApp is now laying the groundwork to deliver robust, interoperable Lunar Augmented Navigation Services (LANS).

Our vision is simple but bold: provide precision navigation solutions—from riverine environments on Earth to the harsh lunar surface—where resilient, redundant, and reliable data fusion is mission critical.

Why This Matters

Navigation isn’t just about knowing where you are. It’s about ensuring safety, resilience, and superiority in both known and emerging environments. SpaceApp’s integrated terrestrial-to-lunar solutions strengthen America’s leadership in space and security infrastructure.

SpaceApp’s Lunar Augmented Navigation Services (LANS) redefines how missions navigate, communicate, and synchronize in the most unforgiving environment known to humanity — the Moon. Leveraging the fusion of ground, space, and lunar assets, LANS delivers reliable, resilient PNT (Positioning, Navigation, and Timing) where GPS cannot reach.

"Terrestrial-tested. Lunar-ready. National-security aligned."
